Cameras
In iTally, a camera is one camera on set that needs tally. Each camera has three properties:
- ID: eight letters and digits, created automatically and never changed. The phone’s address uses it.
- Name: can be changed at any time. It appears in the console and in the middle of the phone screen.
- Input: the switcher input this camera is connected to.
Add cameras
Section titled “Add cameras”On the console’s Cameras page, click Add camera, enter a name and choose its input from the list. Add several creates several cameras at once from the input list, named after the inputs.
- Each input can be assigned to only one camera.
- A camera’s name does not change when the input is renamed on the switcher.
- You can add and rename cameras while the switcher is not connected.
- If an input disappears for a while (for example, deleted and added back in vMix), the camera keeps it and waits for the same input to return.
Change switchers
Section titled “Change switchers”Each camera keeps a separate input for each switcher type. After you change type, the inputs saved for that type apply, and cameras without one show Unknown. Change back, and the earlier inputs are still there. Changing only the IP within the same type keeps them too.
